Greg Rutherford gets Olympic gold for Team GB at London 2012 Olympics
GREG RUTHERFORD has secured a sensational gold medal in the men;s long jump final at the London 2012 Olympic Games tonight.
Rutherford, 25, secured his first Olympic medal ahead of Australia's Mitchell Watt and Team USA's Will Claye.
It was Rutherford's first gold medal of his career, after claiming silver at the EUropean Championships in 2006 and at the Commonwealth Games in 2010.
It capped off a sensational evening at the Olympics, in which Jessica Ennis won gold and Mo Farah was bidding to become the first British athlete to win Olympic 10,000m gold in 116 years.
