We warm to French way of life
SINCE the days of Henry V and Agincourt, the French have been the nation we all love to hate.
But according to a new survey, Britons’ attitude towards our Continental cousins is at last beginning to mellow.
Research conducted for Bastille Day celebrations in France shows seven out of 10 Britons now have “positive feelings”
towards their Gallic neighbours.
And three-quarters say they would not rule out going to live there if the opportunity arose

Many envy their tradition of short working days and long boozy lunch hours, according to the survey for French cheese brand Port Salut.
But a significant minority still regard them as arrogant (40 per cent), rude (35 per cent) and lazy (13 per cent).
