Kate Lawler tells of hopes for Health Lottery
KATE LAWLER has spoken of her pride in supporting The Health Lottery as a regional ambassador and hopes the money raised will help cancer and cystic fibrosis charities.
The former Big Brother star, 31, has been affected by both diseases after watching her close friend’s daughter struggle from cystic fibrosis and her grandmother who has battled ovarian cancer.
Kate, ambassador for the Midlands, is joined by Donna Air (North), Gail Porter (Scotland), Melinda Messenger (South) and Joanna Page (Wales). Kate said: “We were all chosen because we have a real interest in health causes.”
The lottery is pledging at least £50million a year for good causes. The draw is live on ITV1 and Channel 5 on Saturday.
