Snow drifts back again
JUST when you thought it was safe to stow your wellies away, the snow comes creeping back.
Heavy snow showers, like this one in Harwood Dale Forest yesterday, have drifted down the North Yorkshire coast as forecasters warn snow will reach the Midlands and South-east England by the end of the week. After a brief Christmas respite, sub-zero temperatures and frosts will plunge Britain back into bleak winter weather, it is predicted.
In the South, temperatures will plunge to overnight readings of -3C by the weekend. The North will see night-time lows of -13C.
