Youth shot in terror at Birmingham’s Bullring mall
ARMED police were on duty at Birmingham’s Bullring shopping centre yesterday after a shooting and a stabbing.
A 19-year-old was treated for a gunshot wound to the upper leg while a 26-year-old man was found with facial injuries. He was then arrested. Witnesses said there was a confrontation between two groups of youths in the area between the Mango women’s fashion store and the centre’s flagship department store, Selfridges.
The attack happened shortly after 2.15pm. About 180,000 shoppers flocked to the Bullring yesterday for the Boxing Day sales.
