Snow clue to drugs
A HOUSE kept at tropical heat to grow cannabis gave away its secret when neighbours noticed it was the only home in the street with no snow on the roof.
They called police who raided the terraced house and found hundreds of cannabis plants.
“The people living in the road were bemused that just one house out of all of them had no snow on the roof,” said Inspector Matt Dillon.
“When our officers arrived their suspicions grew because all the windows were steamed up.”
Police broke into the empty house in Cromer Road, Watford, and discovered hundreds of cannabis plants being grown in two downstairs rooms and all three bedrooms.
“The plants were in every single room and they had large fans. It was quite a professional set-up,” said Insp Dillon.
So far there have been no arrests.
