Fashion retailer to close its last-ever UK store - 'all stock must go'
The popular chain will still be available but it will close one of its stores in a major UK city.
A popular luxury fashion label is set to close its last store in a major UK city. In the next few weeks, Flannels Junior will close its store in Glasgow. The news comes just months after the same firm permanently shuttered its first-ever outlet in Scotland.
Flannels Junior is a premium fashion retailer that stocks high-end clothing for babies, children, and teenagers. Just some of the brands it has in stock include Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Stone Island and UGG. Its branch on Ingram Street in Glasgow now has “closing down” signs on its windows, and it will cease trading in April.

Its official closing date next month has not yet been confirmed, but signs read “all stock must go” so there’s not long left to head into the store before the shop disappears.
The branch is currently the chain’s only Junior shop left across the whole of the UK.
Flannels itself is known for its designer men’s, women’s and children’s apparel - has over 70 other normal stores, including five in Scotland.
Its parent company, Flannels, announced it would close the first store it opened.
The store, which was located in Silverburn shopping centre, pulled down the shutters for the final time in March, reports the Daily Record.
The store opened in 2017 as the “flagship” store for the brand. After the initial announcement, a spokesperson for Silverburn told the Daily Record: “We can confirm that Flannels will be leaving Silverburn in March 2026 and we wish the whole Flannels team the very best as they move on.
“Whilst we are sad to see Flannels leave, this is a positive step in the redevelopment and repositioning of Silverburn that has seen both the Landlords and tenants alike invest significantly in the centre over the past two years and clearly demonstrates the resurgence of high-quality retail destinations.
“At Silverburn we will be reconfiguring this space from April, ready to hand over to a new brand in November, with the store opening planned for 2027.
“This will further reinforce Silverburn’s position as a leading shopping and leisure destination, with further news to follow.”
