Jumbo’s up for high tea
THIS smart elephant has worked out that a balanced diet is best.
So, teetering on his hind legs, he reaches high to snaffle the tastiest treats from the top of the tree at his home in Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia.
Instead of shaking the tree and catching the meal when it falls like the rest of the herd, the 40-year-old male stretches to his full height to pluck it from the branches.

Park worker Etienne Oosthuizen said: “Not a lot goes to waste. Other elephants who are too young or small to reach follow this guy around to get at any scraps he may leave.”
