British woman is found 'in good health' after she was reported missing on Caribbean island
The British woman who had reported missing by local authorities since Friday has now been found.
A British woman who had reportedly disappeared after attending a street festival on the Carribean island of St Lucia has now been found in "good health".
According to local authorities, Jemima Colenso, 33, originally from Somerset, was last seen at the bustling Friday Night street party in Gros Islet on December 20, around 11.25pm.
It's understood Ms Colenso had been living aboard a yacht named "Lola", moored at Rodney Bay Marina in the island’s northern region. On the night she was reported to have vanished, Ms Colenso was said to be wearing a brown-orange trouser suit.
St. Lucian police had launched a full-scale investigation to find the missing Brit, but in an update posted online this afternoon (Monday), Royal St Lucia Police said that Ms Colenso "has been located and is in good health".
The force's statement went on to "thank everyone who assisted in locating her".
The statement read: "The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force can confirm that this young lady has been located and is in good health. We thank everyone who assisted in locating her."
When police earlier began a search for Ms Colenso a spokesperson in Castries, the island's capital, urged anyone with information to come forward.
Commenting on the news the British woman had been found, one person posted under the police update: "I’m just glad she was found safely. Tourism is our biggest revenue."
Another added: "Happy to hear that she has been found and is safe."

The vibrant Friday Night street party is a renowned event that attracts visitors from around the globe, featuring music, food, and lively celebrations.
A local vendor, who has been serving partygoers for over 25 years, had expressed concern about Jemima’s disappearance. He said: “People come here to have a good time and to be merry. We don’t expect them to go missing. I hope this young lady is found soon so we can all feel safe again.”
Jemima, a talented potter, recently closed her business in Somerset to pursue her dream of sailing.
