'I'm 61 and bedded a 29-year-old hunk - and I want other women to give it a go too'

A 61-year-old woman has spoken about her night of passion with a 29-year-old man - and is encouraging other women to give it a try.

After an emotionally abusive relationship, consultant Heather Rayfield, from outside of Bath, felt as though sex was no longer for her and made the decision to remain celibate for 14 years.

But as her birthday loomed she hankered to try something new and registered for a dating app - and was left absolutely astounded to find she was inundated with interest from more than 1,000 men all eager to engage with her.

After much deliberation, Heather, who has no children, decided to seize her moment and meet up with a much younger suitor - a 29-year-old musician from Mexico called Miguel (his name has been changed to keep his anonymity.)

She said: “With the spotlight shining brightly on older women in movies and social media - celebrating their newfound confidence and sensuality with a host of younger men - I couldn’t help but wonder: how can a regular woman like me recreate this magic in a world full of online dating, 'situationships' and unsolicited d**k pics?”

Heather says she registered to the dating app Hinge and after filtering through the very many men interested in her profile picture, decided to hook up with Miguel.

She took inspiration from the likes of Nicole Kidman's character Brook Harwood who finds love with a much younger man played by Zac Efron in the recent Netflix hit A Family Affair.

She told Express.co.uk: “I was totally overwhelmed with the response, and it continued this way for the next couple of weeks culminating in over 1,000 available men at my fingertips - a totally unreal concept to get my post-menopausal brain around.

“At one point I was even considering hiring a new virtual assistant to trawl and categorise the male manna into ‘heavenly’ and ‘hellish’.”

She said amongst the flock a “beautiful face shone out” and “mesmerised” she clicked on Miguel’s profile who said he was looking for “a drama free and sensual summer connection”.

Heather says she ignored the 32-year age difference and within minutes they were messaging each other like old friends.

The pair arranged to meet at a hotel and Heather says they arranged to meet in the bar - but when he was late she started to worry.

She said: “I waited expectantly in the hotel bar at 5pm as arranged, refreshing my messages every two seconds… he was late.

"For a moment I felt foolish, and suddenly 60 didn’t seem quite so goddess like anymore. Was I just a sad old woman with nothing to offer a glorious young man?”

But Miguel waltzed in and Heather says what followed was a night of passion that she’ll never forget - and is now encouraging other women in her age bracket to give it a go.

She said: “Would I recommend this to others? Absolutely!

"Do your homework first, pay attention to your excellent womanly intuition, stay safe, set boundaries and always state your needs and expectations clearly. Then be prepared for your heart to race and your mind to soar.

“And don’t forget to pack your beta blockers along with your sexy frillies—you’re going to need them.”

She added: “I hope my experience inspires other women to embrace their inner goddess and claim the appreciation and adoration they richly deserve.”
