A farmer repeatedly targeted by fly-tippers has got his own back on a man who dumped an estimated 2.7 tonnes of waste on his land.

Stuart Baldwin, 60, is no stranger to unwanted fly-tipping, but the discovery of over 400 tyres ditched on his site in Haydock, Merseyside, prompted him to take matters into his own hands.

Thanks to CCTV installed at the site, which is struck by fly-tipping an estimated 25 times a year, the livestock farmer was able to identify the culprit using Facebook.

In a defiant move, Mr Baldwin returned the waste directly to the perpetrator, dumping hundreds of tyres outside his residential home.

Standing in front of the rubbish pile on his land, Mr Baldwin said: “Somebody has put these tyres here overnight - luckily, we’ve found out who has forgotten them.

“So we’re going to take them back to the person who put them here.”

In the next clip, Mr Baldwin cheers on a large blue dump truck as it tips hundreds of tyres onto the fly-tipper’s doorstep.

Before taking such drastic measures, Mr Baldwin did attempt to reason with the perpetrator, agreeing a deadline for the fly-tipper to remove the tyres from his land.

He previously told the MailOnline: “He came down and said he was going to move them, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt and a couple of days breathing - but he never moved them”

He added: “You can take your rubbish to the tip for free. I can’t see the logic in it, it’s downright ignorant to be honest.”

As the tyres poured out the truck and piled high on the pavement, Mr Baldwin cheered and described the scene as “fantastic” in between rounds of laughter.

Speaking of the fly-tippers, he added: “That’s what they get.”
