Naked man jumps fences to flee police
Footage captured by Greater Manchester Police has shown the moment a naked man wearing only a dressing gown and some trainers tried to flee the authorities.
The video shows the man, whose face and those of the officers have been blurred, clambering over several fences before being arrested.
The individual’s arrest formed part of an initiative by Greater Manchester Police (GMP) known as Operation Vulcan Piccadilly as part of an attempt to crack down on the supply of drugs in Piccadilly Gardens.
As part of the operation, the GMP said they had arrested 24 alleged drug dealers after executing 23 warrants using 300 police officers.

Furthermore, in a statement, the GMP said that 22 men and women between the ages of 18 and 45 had been arrested “on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs”.
They added that they had so far seized hundreds of “snap bags of drugs” and “almost £10k cash” alongside mobile phones with sim cards.
Speaking about the operation, Detective Sergeant Matt Donnelly explained the nature of the operation and the potential impact of these arrests. He said: “This was a huge operation, using almost 300 officers from across the force, various covert tactics, and specialist resources from across the region.
“We know how deeply the drugs trade impacts our communities and the violence and depravity it brings with it, which is why we have launched such a major operation to tackle it.”

The detective added: “By arresting 24 people this morning, I can confidently say we have dismantled and disrupted several different county lines and local drug networks.
“But we won’t be complacent, and this should be a warning for anyone who thinks criminal activity is welcome in our city.”
The GMP said Operation Vulcan Piccadilly was originally launched last September and that for the past six months, Operation Vulcan had also been supported by officers from the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) who they said had been “running an undercover operation…alongside high visibility patrols”.
Detective Sergeant Donnelly concluded: “We want to make sure criminals are living a life of high anxiety, and I hope that anyone who considers coming to Piccadilly Gardens to deal drugs is constantly looking over their shoulder.”
