Dr Rebecca Maxwell, Interim Chief Medical Officer at UHBW said: “We have declared a critical incident due to a power outage. We aim to have this fully resolved as soon as possible.
"All patients, visitors and colleagues are safe.
"We ask the public not to attend our Bristol city centre hospitals until the incident is resolved and use alternative services in the area.
"We thank you for your cooperation.”

At least three fire engines scramble to the scene
Three fire engines are reportedly outside the Bristol Royal Infirmary, according to eyewitnesses.
They stated: "BRI has been evacuated. Three fire engines on scene."
Hospital declares 'critical incident'
University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS shared an update to social media and declared a "critical incident".
The statement on X reads: "We have declared an internal critical incident due to a power outage affecting a number of our hospitals in Bristol city centre."

Witnesses said patients were only evacuated from "same day emergency care only, emergency area, fast flow".
Hospital 'lost power' as emergency alarms triggered
A witness told BristolLive that the power shut down before the first fire alarm was triggered.
They said: "The power shutdown for a few minutes and after we heard alarm."
