Schoolboy, 16, dies after tipper truck smashes into river pictured for first time
Llyr Davies reportedly died as a truck slid down the banks of the Welsh river Cleddau.
A schoolboy who died in a horror truck crash has been pictured for the first time as his family pays tribute to the "kind, charming and funny" teen.
Llŷr Davies, 16, died on March 12 in a horror accident in which a truck reportedly slipped down a slope leading to a river in Pembrokeshire, Wales.
He was reportedly inside the vehicle and fell out just before it entered the waters of the river Cleddau in Efailwen, an area of Clynderwen.
An eye-witness at the scene said they heard a "very loud noise of crashing" before emergency services arrived.
They told The Sun they "rushed down the footpath" and saw a tipper truck between 30 and 40 feel below the quarry level.
The teen rugby player's family has released a touching tribute to the youngster, who they remembered as a "kind, funny and charming" boy.
The grieving family issued a statement via Dyfed-Powys Police stating Llŷr's personality would stay with them for "the rest of our days".
The statement read: "It is with great sadness that we as a family announce the passing of our beloved Llŷr.
"On March 12 our world was turned upside down when learning of the death of our kind, funny and charming Llŷr."

The statement added that the outpouring of love from the local community has given the family "comfort during this dark time".
It continued: "Our lives will never be the same without you Llŷr, you will forever be in our hearts. Cysga’n dawel beautiful boy.
"The family wish to thank friends, family and the wider community for all their messages of support.
"It has given us comfort during this dark time knowing that Llŷr has touched so many lives.”
