Following her death, hundreds of tributes were paid to Eden Young and her family raised money to bring her back to Manchester.
A ‘smart’ and ‘beautiful’ woman died after falling from the fourth floor of a hotel in Spain, an inquest has heard.
Eden Young was just 29 when she died earlier this year in Madrid.
A respected figure in Manchester’s arts and cultural scene, she had reportedly travelled to the city to attend a festival for online publication Polyester where she worked as managing editor.
On July 18, an inquest was opened at Manchester’s Coroner’s Court as information about the events leading up to her death was heard.

The inquest heard how on June 7 she had gone out with her friend Gina after the festival was cancelled due to heavy rain.
According to reports, the pair got back to their hotel at around 2am on June 8 and when Gina awoke, Ms Young was nowhere to be seen.
Ms Young was later found on the floor outside the hotel having fallen from the fourth floor.
Following her death, hundreds of tributes were paid to her and her family began raising the money needed to bring her back to Manchester.
One person, known as Ione, wrote: “Eden was the best of all of us – funny and so f****** smart, so gorgeous, loved being an absolute legend in every way.
“I know everyone who listens to the pod knows this. She was also the most loyal person I know.”
Ione added: "Having her on the team was the greatest privilege in the world. I’m so grateful to Gina for introducing me to Eden, for being such an amazing best friend that she saw Eden's talent and for having the generosity to bring her on board and watch her fly as our managing editor, co-host, and gorgeous bestie. We love her so much.
“And she loved everyone that listened to the pod so much - thank you to everyone that came up to her and recognised her and made her feel like a little celeb.”

On the family’s GoFundMe page, Ms Young’s brother, Cameron, described his sister as “beautiful” and said her death saddened everyone who was close to her "more than words can comprehend right now".
Coroner Zak Golombeck and Spanish authorities confirmed Ms Young’s medical cause of death was a traumatic brain injury caused by the fall.
Mr Golombeck said statements from Ms Young’s family and her GP would be given at a full inquest which will be held at a later date.
