Tesco shoppers who use self-service checkouts have been amazed at secret compartments inside the machines, which was revealed by a Tiktok user.
Becky Midgely told her followers about a secret compartment within the machines by the change slot, where shoppers can pay for goods with coins.
Instead of putting the coins in one at a time, the savvy Tiktok user said there was a time-saving way to place all the coins needed into the machine.
She found by lifting the flap around the rim of the coins slot, the coins can all go in at Tesco and at Sainsbury's, self-service tills, too.

Another user shared the same hack, and others have revealed the same shortcut can be found in Asda too.
While many have been surprised, not everyone has been as intrigued with the work around. One said: “It still processes the coins at the same speed…”
They were first invented in 1986 by one David R. Humble, and introduced to the public in July that year.
The first machine was installed in a Kroger store near Atlanta, Georgia.
As the technology advanced globally, more stores added self-service checkouts.
Today, they can be found in almost every supermarket in the UK.
