Manchester pub on lockdown after suspected gunshots fired as police rush to scene
Forensic units have been inside and outside The Nags Head pub for most of Monday morning.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed they were called to the scene late on Sunday night reports "of a suspected firearm".Officers attended the scene and found damage to a window of a property, police said. Police have cordoned off the property and been seen at the premises on Lostock Road, Urmston carrying out enquiries. Detective Inspector Matt Dixon of GMP’s Trafford District said police are keeping an "open mind" about the incident.
Detective Dixon said: “We are keeping an open mind in relation to how the damage has been caused. There will be an increased police presence in the surrounding area as we carry out our enquiries today and I would encourage anyone who feels they have information that can assist us to please approach our officers.
“Detectives are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have footage, including dashcam, mobile phone or CCTV/ doorbell footage from this area in the moments leading up to and after this incident happened."
Witnesses are being urged to get in touch with police if they have any information and should contact police on 0161 856 7863 quoting incident log 3143 15/1/2023.
