Window cleaners in London tower block horror after being STRANDED on outside of building
FIRE SERVICES rushed to a tower block in London as two window cleaners became stranded on the outside of a building.
The London Fire Brigade was called to the building on Tidemill Square, North Greenwich just before 3.30pm today. Two fire engines from East Greenwich and Greenwich fire service attended the scene. A fire and rescue unit from Islington fire station was also called in to help.
Pictures from the scene also show that the London Ambulance Service was in attendance.
According to the London Fire Brigade (LFB), the two men were successfully rescued more than an hour after they arrived on the scene.
The LFB said they were "brought to safety at roof level".
No one was injured in the incident.
A spokesperson for the LFB told Express.co.uk: "Fire crews were called to assist in bringing a window cleaners' cradle to safety at a block of flats with 30 floors on Tidemill Square in Greenwich.
"Fire crews assisted two men who were brought to safety at roof level.
"No injuries were reported.
"Two fire engines were in attendance from East Greenwich and Greenwich fire stations.
"And a fire rescue unit from Islington fire station was also at the scene.
"The Brigade was called at 1524 and the incident was over by 1644."
