Top police cheif 'stole make-up'
A POLICE chief was in court yesterday accused of stealing make-up from a Tesco store.
Chief Inspector Kim Molloy, 44, spoke only to confirm her name and address during the brief magistrates’ hearing in Mansfield, Notts.
She was not asked to enter a plea to a charge of stealing Max Factor make up worth £12.72.
Molloy, an officer for almost 20 years, was a rising star within Nottinghamshire Police.
She is suspended after being stopped by security staff at the Tesco Extra store in Top Valley last November.
Her solicitor Ian Townsend said: “She is a serving police officer who faces serious allegations given the nature of her
position.” Molloy was granted unconditional bail to appear at the same court on March 5.
She carried out a review of special constables, leading many to leave, in 2008
