£56m EuroMillions win is claimed
A BRITISH ticket holder came forward yesterday to claim Friday’s £56million EuroMillions prize – the biggest ever win in the UK.
It is not yet known if the ticket belongs to an individual or a syndicate or where the winner lives.
A National Lottery spokesman said: “We are looking forward to welcoming this ticket holder to our millionaires’ club which is already 2,400 strong.”
It emerged last night that a second winning ticket bought in Spain may also belong to a Briton. It was bought in Mojácar, Almería, where half the population is British. The pair share the £113million jackpot.
