'Murder' probe as pair charged after man found dead in flat
A MURDER probe has been launched after the death of a grandad in Glasgow, it has emerged this morning.
Police Scotland has revealed that it has charged a 33-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman over the death of Brian Malley. Their names and the specific charges have yet to be revealed.
Mr Malley, 52, was found dead at his flat in Young Terrace in the Springburn area of the Scottish city last week.
The pair are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
It comes after emergency crews rushed to the residential street at around 9.50am on February 8.
Sadly nothing could be done and Mr Malley was pronounced dead at the scene.
A police probe was launched after his death.
CID and forensic officers were later spotted attending the scene.
Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Grainger, of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team, said: “Our thoughts remain with Brian’s family at what continues to be a difficult time for them.
“I would also like to thank the local community for their patience, help and assistance during our investigation and to those who came forward with information."
