Girl, 15, 'pulled out to sea and raped' at Bournemouth beach – teenage boy arrested
A 17-YEAR-OLD boy has been arrested after a 15-year-old girl was allegedly pulled into the sea and raped in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police said the girl was with friends when she began talking to a teenage boy in the sea. The force said the boy allegedly dragged her deeper into the sea and raped her. Police launched enquiries and issued an e-fit appeal and TV appeal on BBC One show Crimewatch Live.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "Detectives investigating the reported rape of a teenage girl at Bournemouth beach have arrested a teenage boy.
"It was reported a 15-year-old girl was with friends in the sea when she began talking to a teenage boy.
"The boy allegedly pulled her out deeper into the sea, where he is reported to have raped her.
"Detectives from Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team launched an investigation into the incident.
"Following enquiries, including an e-fit appeal and televised appeal on BBC One show Crimewatch Live, a 17-year-old boy from the Warwickshire area has been arrested on suspicion of rape and is assisting detectives with their enquiries."
