Met Police rush as man hospitalised with 'serious injuries' - statement issued
POLICE rushed to a canal barge in Ealing, London and found a man with "serious injuries", which they believe have been self-inflicted.

Emergency services visited the location in the vicinity of Ferrymead Avenue. Video footage was posted on media showing several police cars and ambulances close to the reported incident. The Metropolitan Police said in a statement they visited the canal barge shortly before 5.55pm on Wednesday.
Inside they found a man who had sustained serious injuries, "which at this stage is believed were self-inflicted".
London Ambulance Service paramedics and the London Air Ambulance were called.
The man was taken to hospital where his condition is believed to be "life threatening".
Earlier, people had taken to Twitter to report gridlocked traffic in the local area.
One wrote: "The police have been here since around 6.15pm.
"Anyone coming off the A40 needs to think again as the road is closed and I haven't moved in 50 minutes."
