Woolwich emergency: London chaos as police rush to knife horror - one hospitalised
POLICE have rushed to the scene in Woolwich this morning amid reports of a "major incident" with roads shut as emergency services deal with the situation.

Police rushed to the scene on Saturday morning amid reports of a suspect armed with a knife. Locals on social media described the incident with one claiming the situation to be a "major incident".
One said: "Major incident in Woolwich.
"Armed police on scene...suspect lying on back of truck."
Another reported a suspect was seen with a knife.
The A205 Woolwich New Road was closed in both directions and Woolwich High Street was also closed due to the incident.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 06:20hrs on Saturday, 31 July following reports of a man in possession of a knife in Plumstead Road, Woolwich.
"Officers attended along with London Ambulance Service.
"A woman was found with a stab injury to her hand.
"She was taken to hospital where her condition was assessed as non-life-threatening."

The force said a 27-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.
The spokesperson continued: "Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
"The incident is not being treated as terrorism."
It comes just weeks after a teenage boy was also fatally stabbed in Woolwich.
Police were called to Woolwich New Road at 5:25pm on Monday, July 5.
But at 6:10pm, the teenager was pronounced dead.
Three knives were visible in the street and a police cordon was put in place.
