The win is the fourth time this year a UK ticket-holder has taken the grand prize. Players are urged to check their tickets to see if they are tonight’s lucky jackpot winner.
Andy Carter, Camelot’s Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said: “What amazing news, one UK winner has scooped the incredible £111M EuroMillions jackpot in tonight’s special Super Jackpot draw.
“This is the fourth UK jackpot win this year! Players are urged to check their tickets and give us a call if they think they are tonight’s lucky jackpot winner.”
Mr Carter added that the National Lottery players make a “huge difference” to good causes across the country.
On average, around £30m is raised every week and over £1bn has been distributed so far to help tackle the impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
In order to win the jackpot, players will need to have matched all five numbers plus two lucky star numbers.
Friday’s winning numbers are: 7, 20, 36, 40, 46. And the star numbers are 2 and 4.
The odds of winning the top prize is about one in every 140,000,000.
To win the second prize, of more than £130,500, the odds are almost one in seven million.
