Another said: “Only in the UK could we proudly announce the resurrection of Professor Snape as the perfect person to lead our vaccine booster research programme.”
Professor Matthew Snape and Professor Faust will begin a study in June called CovBoost which will determine if different vaccines can be used as a booster jab.
The scheme aims to give people the booster jabs in autumn or winter this year, although there are no concrete plans.
The plans will be able to distinguish which booster vaccines have the best impact on immunity.
