Herefordshire helicopter crash: Aircraft with two on board goes down - paramedics scramble
EMERGENCY services have rushed to the scene of a helicopter crash in Herefordshire.
Two people were on board the helicopter when it crashed in a field off Bromyard Road in Ledbury this afternoon. The extent of their injuries is not yet known, but their condition is not thought to be serious.
West Mercia Police said it was called to the helicopter crash at around 3pm.
A statement from the force said: "Around 3pm this afternoon (Friday 2 April) we were informed a helicopter had crashed in a field off Bromyard Road in Ledbury, Herefordshire.

"Emergency services are currently at the scene.
"Two people were on board the helicopter and while the extent of injuries is not yet known, they are not believed to be serious."

Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene along with West Midlands Ambulance Service.
The fire service said in a post on Twitter: "Crews from @HWFireLedbury attended a helicopter crash in Ledbury.
"The light aircraft landed in a field and was made safe by Fire Service Personnel, assisting @WMerciaPolice and @OFFICIALWMAS."

The cause of the crash is not yet clear.
Ledbury is a market town in the West Midlands county of Herefordshire.
