Yorkshire ‘explosion’: ’Loud’ bang and ‘big flash of light’ sparks panic – ‘houses shake’
A HUGE blast has shaken Dewsbury in West Yorkshire with CCTV footage showing a bright flash of light.

Local residents reported hearing a loud explosion at around 10pm in the West Yorkshire town.
The blast was purportedly heard across Earlsheaton, Shawcross, Mount Pleasant, Staincliffe and Soothill.
Local residents told YorkshireLive that they heard a loud explosion and saw a bright light.
One person said: "Big huge explosion noise around 10pm heard in Earlsheaton.
Another added: "Was really loud in chick. shook my house."

A third local said: "I heard it in Mount pleasant and a big flash of light."
West Yorkshire Police are yet to make a statement about the explosion.
