Nigel Farage clashes with caller that backs Boris Johnson's lockdown decision
NIGEL FARAGE was involved in a heated debate with an LBC caller regarding Boris Johnson's decision to delay his lockdown update until Sunday.
Boris Johnson praised by caller over lockdown announcement
The caller, who was introduced as Jim, backed the Prime Minister's plan to announce the relaxing of some lockdown restrictions on Sunday evening. Mr Farage argued it has been widely reported what measures will be relaxed and that Mr Johnson should provide a lockdown update before Sunday.
Mr Farage said: "It is a bit confusing, isn’t it?
Jim replied: "It is going to happen one day Nigel.
"Really it's down to all of us to be responsible."
The former Brexit Party leader asked: "Do you think we're grown up enough to be trusted a bit more?"

The caller responded: "If we haven't learnt by now, we never will.
"I think he's done the right thing by leaving it until Sunday.
"Can you imagine tomorrow, what would it be like on the beaches?
"As it fills up, people would be saying 'that's not two metres, give us some separation.

"There'd be arguments."
Mr Farage said: "Well Jim maybe people have seen things and know that from Monday we will be allowed unlimited exercise and they’ll think let’s start from tomorrow."
The caller concluded: "That'll prove the point, won't it?
"That'll prove how responsible or irresponsible we are."
