As panic spread, the prime minister has begun to give daily updates on how the government is tackling the pandemic.

25,0000 people in NHS hospitals could now be tested on a daily basis.
Boris Johnson has called on companies to develop a test urgently to see whether people can develop immunity, meaning NHS hospital are able to work after being off sick.
