Manchester stabbing: Police lockdown streets in Hindley after double attack
POLICE locked down a street in Hindley, Wigan, following a double stabbing of two women.

Emergency services responded to reports of a double stabbing in Atherton Road at 10.30am this morning. Two women received serious injuries and were taken to hospital, although further details are not yet known. But it is not being treated as a terror related incident.
Road closures have now been lifted.
Greater Manchester Police's latest statement said: “Police are continuing their enquiries after an incident in Hindley this morning.
“One woman, who is believed to be in her 20’s, is receiving treatment in hospital and another woman, who is also believed to be in her 20’s. has been discharged from hospital after sustaining minor injuries.
“Police aren’t looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.”
The North West Ambulance Service told Wigan Today that two medical helicopters were called out at 10.32am.
