Midsomer murder: Villager is charged
A MAN has appeared in court charged with the murder of a housewife whose naked body was found in a field.
Sally Hingston, 67, died after suffering multiple head injuries.
Her body was discovered on Friday two miles from her home in Gawcott, Bucks, a pretty village used as a location for the TV series Midsomer Murders.
Benjamin Radojevich, 25, also of Gawcott, appeared before magistrates in Aylesbury yesterday charged with her murder. He was remanded in custody until August 24.
Mrs Hingston was described by neighbours as a “pillar of the local community”.
Close friend Jean Spicer said: “She has lived here for 40 years and every day I have seen her walk for miles across the fields.”
Mrs Hingston recently retired as a marshall at Silverstone racing track in Northants. She leaves husband Reg and two sons, Roy and Bruce.
