Tony Blair forced to admit Nigel Farage was RIGHT about no deal Brexit and Boris's plan
FORMER Prime Minister Tony Blair shocked viewers as he admitted that Nigel Farage’s no deal Brexit may be the only way to get a true Brexit.
Tony Blair: Nigel Farage is right about no deal Brexit
Tony Blair, who has repeatedly called for a second referendum to resolve the Brexit issue, argued that he agrees with Nigel Farage. The former Labour Prime Minister admitted that Mr Farage’s analysis of Boris Johnson’s Brexit deal was one of the best as it pointed out clear flaws. He added that to focus on the issues that mattered to Brexiteers, diverging tax, regulation and trade deals, a no deal Brexit is the only way to do that.
Despite calling for a second referendum and announcing he fundamentally disagreed with the Brexit Party leader on Brexit as a whole, Mr Blair explained Mr Farage was correct in his Brexit withdrawal criticisms.
The former Labour leader told TalkRadio’s Gavin Esler: “You need to decide what the country wants.
“The reason why I keep saying to people, in the end, the only way you are going to resolve this satisfactorily is to ask the British people what they really want given what we now know.
“Bizarrely, though I profoundly disagree with him on whether Brexit is a good idea Nigel Farage has produced one of the better analyses of what the problem is with Boris Johnson’s deal.

“The problem, in the end, is if you really want to diverge on tax, regulation and go your own way on issues to deal with trade, if you really want that.
“The only way you are really going to get that is actually by doing no deal.
“Because if you do a deal with Europe they are going to bolt you down as we have just seen in relation to Northern Ireland.”

Also in the interview, Mr Blair urged Remainers to “make the best of Brexit" if Boris Johnson’s deal goes through.
He said that Brexit will not doom the country, despite previous scaremongering tactics.
Mr Blair did compare Britain's departure from the EU like a "top-six Premier League side being relegated to the Championship".

The former British leader said: “If we do Brexit, we all have to make it work the best we can.
“People will still want to deal with Britain. Britain will still be an important country.
“I tell every leader I meet, we are going through a difficult patch but don’t worry, Britain will be back."
