Stanley Johnson's hilarious joke as he opens up on family's Brexit divisions at Christmas
BORIS JOHNSON’s father, Stanley Johnson, made a bizarre joke during his interview with a BBC correspondent about family Brexit divisions at Christmas time.
Brexit: Stanley Johnson talks about his family's Christmas lunch
Boris Johnson’s sister, Rachel, previously revealed her family can no longer discuss Brexit around the dinner table due to the strong differences of opinion on the subject. Speaking on the topic with Stanley Johnson, a BBC correspondent asked: “What happens at Christmas lunch?” He jokingly replied: “Well Christmas lunch you eat the turkey, there’s some pretty key decisions to be made.
“You’ve got some Remainers on one side, some Leavers on the other. My line is to say ‘okay chaps, what’s it going to be?
“‘Is it going to be breast or is it going to be thigh?’”
The comments follow the Prime Minister being dealt a devastating blow last month, when his sibling, Jo, resigned as a Cabinet member and MP over the Government’s Brexit plan.
Rachel Johnson previously claimed the Prime Minister is the only member of their family who “thinks that Brexit is a good idea”.

She also said he is “outnumbered” over the UK’s departure from the EU, and that around the family dinner table they can no longer discuss Brexit.
However on Wednesday, the Prime Minister used part of his Tory party conference speech to address the very public criticism of him by his siblings.
He even revealed his own mother had voted Leave, to which his father Stanley appeared to say: "I didn't know that!"
During Stanley’s interview, the BBC correspondent also appeared to question whether his “breast or thigh” joke was made in reference to the allegations surrounding his son groping a journalist’s thigh.

The BBC host asked: “And what does Boris say, does Boris say the same? Does Boris say breast or thigh?”
Stanley burst into fits of laughter before denying: “When I say breast or thigh I’m talking about the turkey, let me be clear. Okay folks.”
Journalist Charlotte Edwardes accused Boris Johnson of touching her thigh, and that of another woman, inappropriately at a lunch in 1999.

She said his hand was “high up my leg and he has enough inner flesh beneath his fingers to make me sit suddenly upright.” The now-Prime Minister has strongly denied the claims.
Writing on the alleged incident, Ms Edwardes said: “I’m seated on Johnson’s right; on his left is a young woman I know. More wine is poured; more wine is drunk.
“Under the table I feel Johnson’s hand on my thigh. He gives it a squeeze. His hand is high up my leg and he has enough inner flesh beneath his fingers to make me sit suddenly upright.”
The Prime Minister’s team has strongly denied the allegations, calling them “untrue”. Asked on Monday if the incident had taken place, Mr Johnson said: “No.” He also told Sky News: "I don’t in any way minimise the importance of the types of allegations or this type of thing. But this is not true and all I can say is that, actually, I can’t say anymore about it. What I want to do is focus on the domestic agenda that we have."
Chancellor Sajid Javid also defended the Prime Minister over the accusation, telling Good Morning Britain: “In my world when you have public figures there are allegations against individuals all the time. I’ve had all sorts of allegations everyday.
“I get them on social media, when I meet people but it doesn’t make them true. I don’t think it’s appropriate for people to comment on these personal allegations and I’m not going to do that.”
