Security fears around mosques have been raised following a number of horrific terror attacks in recent years.
On March 15 an attack on two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, by a far-right extremist left 51 dead.
In 2017 a man was killed, and several other injured, after a van was deliberately driven into pedestrians near Finsbury Park mosque in London.
However there is no indication the Leicester incident is terror related.
