Queues began to form in the early hours and built steadily throughout the morning ahead of the 10am opening. The five-floor building features three food venues including a Disney-themed cafe, a Disney shopping area, a beauty studio and Hogwarts Wizarding World section. Spanning 160,000 square feet, it is the biggest of the high street retailer's 365 stores across Europe and the US.

Shoppers Helen Palmer and Rachel Roberts from Kingsnorton, Birmingham, were in the queue.
Helen said: “ I love the value for money.”
Rachel added “ I love the quirky finds. Last time you went to Primark I got a Alice in Wonderland purse for 50p!”
Primark's director of new business development, Tim Kelly said: "Our customers can expect a great experience at Primark Birmingham High Street.
"They can spend time with friends and family, eat great food, recharge and have fun, and find everything under one roof including fashion, beauty and homewear - all at an amazing price.
"We're proud to bring this great store and everything it has to offer, to Birmingham."
The store employs more than 1,000 people, and has seen the creation of 500 new jobs.
Tom O'Rourke, the landlord of The Peaky Blinder pub, which is opposite the giant new Primark, said he was delighted it had finally opened its doors.
He said: "We seem to have been waiting for years for this new Primark to open.
“They did not just redecorate The Pavilions Shopping Centre and move in, they knocked the building down and built it back up from the floor.
“This part of town has had some bad publicity lately with spice zombies and McDonalds having to use knife detectors so to have the world's biggest anything is great news.
“Lets hope they don't let the side down by selling out of flat caps on the first day!"
