Cheltenham 2019: Andy and Kim Murray pick winners
Tennis star Sir Andy Murray and his wife Kim took time off from looking after their two daughters to lead the celebrity field at Cheltenham on Ladies Day yesterday. The 31-year-old former Wimbledon champion - who is recovering from hip surgery - and Kim, also 31, looked loved-up, holding hands and high-fiving each other as they enjoyed the races.
It appeared they enjoyed several winners.
Sir Andy, who hopes to have recovered enough to make this year's Wimbledon his final appearance on court, may have got some useful information when he went to talk to the jockeys.
He met Ruby Walsh and AP Loved-up and lucky...Andy and Kim McCoy in the weighing room and posted an Instagram picture captioned: "Getting some early tips in from these guys."
The Olympic gold medallist and double Wimbledon winner also sat down for a chat with jockeys Harry Cobden and Rachael Blackmore.
After his operation in January, he said: "This is a big surgery I've had.
The main reason for having it was to not be in pain any more, and I'm not.
I'm delighted with that.
What happens next, I don't know exactly.
"I don't have any reference. No one has had an operation like this and gone back to playing. It was never considered."
