M20 traffic latest: M20 CLOSED as 'serious' crash sparks HUGE DELAYS near Channel Tunnel
THE M20 has been closed eastbound between junction 11 and junction 12, near the Channel Tunnel in Folkestone, Kent, following a collision involving a van and a lorry.
Kent Police tweeted: “We are currently responding to a collision between a van and a lorry on the M20 coastbound, near junction 11a. There are delays in the area and, where possible, motorists are advised to consider using an alternative route.” Highways England on Twitter said that traffic has been halted between junction 11 and junction 11a and emergency services are at the scene of the “serious collision”.

The crash occurred at around 5pm – peak rush time for motorists.
Traffic England maps show traffic is “not moving” with tailbacks to junction 9.
Delays are also reported on the A2070 and on the M20 slip road at junction 9.
Normal traffic conditions are not expected until after 8pm, according to the latest update from Highways England.
