Attempted murder probe after victim, 23, found in bloodied house in Eastleigh
BLOOD splatter on a porch is being investigated by detectives who launched an attempted murder probe at a house in Eastleigh after a man, 23, fights for his life in hospital.
Officers were called to Heinz Burt Close in leafy Hampshire at 10.15pm last night to investigate a report of a “serious assault” that saw a man rushed to Southampton General Hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition. The victim was found at the address with serious head injuries, Hampshire Police confirmed. They have arrested a 17-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman, both from Eastleigh, on suspicion of attempted murder. A 48-year-old man, from Bursledon, has also been arrested on suspicion of GBH. Officers ave confirmed all three remain in custody.
Police are carrying out house-to-house enquiries in the area.
An ambulance was seen outside the property, where a police cordon in still in place.
A resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "We walked out and I just saw blood everywhere.
"I could just see blood I didn't know where it was from."
