Residents FURIOUS as HUGE toilet installed on their street with no warning
LONDON residents are furious after a toilet resembling Dr Who's Tardis was "dumped" on their street with no notice.
Residents have nicknamed the toilet "Turdis" resembling Dr Who's Tardis
The 11 foot toilet, nicknamed the "Turdis", can only be accessed by bus drivers and has already had its windows smashed a few days after being put up. Transport for London (TfL) installed the toilet in Biggin Hill, South East London where there is no shops or public toilets. Councillor Julian Bennington hit back at TfL for not informing residents or councillors of the toilet causing fury in the community.
The former Met Detective Chief Inspector said residents smashed the windows shortly after its appearance on Tuesday and has now had the lock broken overnight.
He said: "People are very angry. It's literally right outsider their houses. It is a monstrosity dumped here, the size of it and everything else, in the middle of what is a residential area."
He said he suspects the toilet cost taxpayers thousands to build and TfL had not previously raised concerns about lack of facilities.

He added: "This has never been raised as a difficulty. It is a totally unsuitable location, it's entirely residential and the other end of the bus route is Orpington town centre so there are toilets there and premises."
The toilet serves drivers on the half-hourly R2 route via Orpington, Kent.
He said: I'm hoping they will get rid of it and adjust the timing on the bus route so drivers can stop in Orpington."

Recruitment consultant Stephanie Willis said: "It is the most ugliest thing i have ever seen. It's a monstrosity. If this is a Doctor Who themed present from TfL they should take it back."
She said her view of green hills behind her house has now been ruined by the metal toilet and has stirred outrage within the community.
She added: "This is a quiet residential area where people have lived peacefully for years. Now we have a big ugly blot on the community, I am furious."
Polly Straight said: "These government runs bodies couldn't give a s**t about people that pay their wages. The toilet just has to go outside someone's house and it's convenient the letters of this imposition didn't arrive."
