Greenwich 'bomb threat’: London buildings near O2 Arena EVACUATED
SEVERAL buildings near the O2 Arena in South London were evacuated this afternoon.

Hundreds of people were evacuated in the Greenwich peninsula and left standing outside since 2.30pm.
A number of alarms sounding in more than one of the buildings, according to unconfirmed reports.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed a “security alert” prompted the evacuation.
The O2 arena has also confirmed it was not evacuated, but people were not allowed to leave.
A witness told Express.co.uk: "We haven't been evacuated but we are not allowed to leave. Apparently, it is a bomb threat."
Ravensbourne University was also evacuated.
One student said on Twitter: “How nice. First day back at uni to be greeted by a bomb threat. Hello London…”
A Met Police spokesman said: “Police were called at approximately 1:59pm on Monday, October 1 to reports of a security alert at a business premises on Pier Walk, SE10.
“Officers are in attendance.
“The building has been evacuated as a precaution.”
Greenwich Peninsula is a district of south-east London.
The area has the O2 arena, Blackwall Tunnel, new homes, offices, schools, a college and parks.
