M25 traffic latest: M25 closed at Dartford Crossing - crash causes FOUR MILE queues
M25 TRAFFIC is facing four mile queues after both tunnels in the Dartford crossing shut because of an accident.
Emergency crew are at the scene to clear the collision and aftermath - it is not yet known whether anyone was hurt in the incident.
So far, it seems that Kent Police were not called to the scene.
At 9 am Radio Jackie wrote on Twitter that traffic remains slow with all mototrists being temporarily held.
The accident happened anti-clockwise at 7.30am this morning sending delays back at far as Junction 2 and 3.

Motorists stuck in queues as far back as Junction 2 are starting to pick up speed again with traffic clearing.
But those at junction 3 continue to have their travel time severely increased with long delays.
Drivers are being urged to avoid the area because of the sheer weight of traffic.

Lanes have now been reopened but delays are expected to continue throughout the morning.
This morning a spokesman for Highways England said: "Both tunnels at the Dartford Crossing are blocked due to a collision anti-clockwise between J1A and J31.
"Crews at scene working to clear the vehicles involved updates to follow."
