Day & Night was front and centre to catch all the gossip from the likes of winners David Tennant (right with co-star Olivia Colman), Danny Dyer and Paul Hollywood while Amanda Holden provided a bit of much-needed glamour.
Tennant, who won the Special Achievement award for Broadchurch, was in his element until overheard being quizzed about an apparent backlash against the hit show.
“Thanks for saying that!” he spat. “What backlash? I don’t think anything’s gone wrong. It’s fantastic! Do your research,” before storming off.

Hollywood, whose Great British Bake Off series won the Best Skills Challenge award, said he was cautiously optimistic about the future.
“I expect next year the viewing figures will drop slightly. It needs the plateau to get some longevity and find its level.”
We also spoke to Britain’s Got Talent judge Holden who told us why she turned down Simon cowell’s invitation to Barbados over the Christmas holidays.
“I can’t think of anything worse! We all have genuine friendships – the BGT crew – but I would never go on holiday with Simon.

Morning TV royalty Lorraine Kelly snubbed the afterparty to rush home to her “duvet and a cup of Horlicks” adding: “I don’t get out a lot so it’s all too much.” Rock on Lorraine!
