'Isn't 007 supposed to handsome?' Idris Elba addresses James Bond rumours on Twitter
ACTOR Idris Elba has responded to rumours that he is set to become the next James Bond by joking that he wasn't handsome enough for the role.
Idris Elba took to Twitter to address rumours he is set to become the next James Bond
Earlier this week, the actor was the latest victim of the Sony Entertainment cyber attack.
In a leaked email, Sony Pictures Entertainment executive Amy Pascal wrote: "Idris should be the new Bond."
While many fans would agree the Hackney-born Luther star would make the perfect Bond, Idris himself appears to be unsure about the idea.

The 42-year-old took to Twitter yesterday to address the rumour, but did little to stifle speculation.
Neither denying or confirming that he would be the next 007, Idris merely questioned whether he was good looking enough for the part.
"Isn't 007 supposed to handsome? Glad you think I've got a shot! Happy New year people", he wrote alongside an image of the star pulling a face for a selfie.
Idris has previously said he would like to play Bond when Daniel Craig departs from the role.
Daniel Craig is contracted to another film after Spectre
The actor, who began filming Spectre earlier this month, is only contracted for one more movie and has already signalled his desire to bow out of the role after four films.
During a Reddit AMA in September, Idris responded to a fan’s question on whether he’d be willing to take the role, writing: "Yes, if it was offered to me, absolutely."
Earlier this week, conservative US talk show host Rush Limbaugh criticised the rumours, saying that because the original author Ian Fleming wrote James Bond as "a white [man] from Scotland", the character should not be played by a black actor.
"That's not who James Bond is, and I know it's racist to probably even point this out," he said.
