Uh oh! Cheryl Fernandez-Versini outraged after X Factor warm-up host calls her Cheryl Cole
CHERYL Fernandez-Versini was left outraged on Sunday night after X Factor warm-up host Ian Royce called her by her former surname, Cole.
The reality TV judge called the host ignorant after he called her by her old married name in front of the studio audience and her new husband Jean-Bernard.
After his blunder, Cheryl is said to have pulled Royce up on his mistake and according to the Daily Star said: "It's not hard to pronounce my name phonetically."
The Sun added that she had called him "arrogant" with "no common sense."
I embarrassed the husband (JB) of @CherylOfficial a man I like very much and for that I am truly sorry...Me and my big mouth...

And it wasn't long before the warm-up act was feeling the effects of his mis-judged joke, with hundreds of Cheryl fans sending him an array of abuse on social networking sites.
He took to his own Twitter account later in the night to put things right, insisting that he loves the Geordie lass and meant no harm by his joke.
"I love @CherylOfficial She stands up for what she believes in and speaks her mind for what she holds true. I respect and admire that," he wrote.
"I'm getting destroyed on twitter by the @CherylOfficial fans… I got the name wrong… I apologised. Let's all move one."
He later replied to a user directly, writing: "I'm the warm up… She is the star.. She had every right to 'Put me in my place' I did apologise - I made a mistake."
Simon Cowell's best friend Sinitta also spoke about never using cheryl's former surname during a chat on the Xtra Factor, revealing that "Cole" is banned from use anywhere in the X Factor studios.
"Do not use C-word in this building, the four letter C-word, Cole," the former Eighties singer said.
Cheryl divorced footballer Ashley Cole in 2010 after a series of alleged infidelities on his part. They had been married for four years.
The former Girls Aloud star went on to surprise the nation when she secretly wed Frenchman Jean-Bernard in a secret ceremony a few months ago, after just three months of dating.
