Fetching! EastEnders' John Altman dons sweatband as he goes for a jog in between filming
HE RETURNED to the show earlier this year, reprising his role as Nasty Nick Cotton, but EastEnders actor John Altman looked far from his tough talking character this week.
The star - who made his way back onto Albert Square in July - was spotted goig for a leisurely run in London earlier today, before making his way back to Elstree Studios, where EastEnders is filmed.
Looking the part, John - who was one of the soap's original characters after appearing in the very first episode in 1985 - donned a pair of bright blue Adidas shorts and a slogan vest.
He added a pair of bulky running trainers while keeping his perspiration at bay with a matching bright blue sweat band.
Obviously doing its job, the actor looked fresh and revived as he returned to work after what seemed like a successful trip around the block.
John finished off his sporty look with a silver chain around his neck and wore a pair of white earphones.
John's character Nasty Nick was believed to have been dead in the long-running soap, until his family were told differently at the end of July.
Carol uncovered the secret when she answered Charlie's phone and was stunned to recognise Nick's voice on the other end of the line.
Speaking about his return at the time, he said: After a five-year break, I'm very pleased and much looking forward to returning to EastEnders. With the promise of some hard-hitting and gritty storylines, I'm sure the residents of Albert Square will be none too pleased to see Nick Cotton back on the streets of Walford.
"I'm also looking forward to working alongside Declan Bennett and Pauline McLynn. And of course being reunited and working once again with my 'dear old Ma', the wonderful June Brown."
