Countdown host Nick Hewer has his watch stolen as he takes a snap for tourist
COUNTDOWN host Nick Hewer has revealed he had his watch stolen after being asked to take a snap of a pair of tourists.
The star - who is a regular on the Apprentice - took to his Twitter account to air his anger at the theft of his International Watch Company timepiece that was snatched from his wrist as he happily took the picture.
Apparently, the former PR guru was asked by tourists to take a photo of them, but when he went to hand back the camera, the opportunistic thieves swiped his watch.
"NEVER agree to take a photo of a stranger with their camera phone. They'll steal your watch so fast when you hand phone back. Anyone seen my IWC?" he wrote on the social media page.

The 70-year-old's watch was said to have been worth about £10,000 and a spokesman for Nick confirmed that he had reported the incident to police.
Nick Hewer rose to fame on The Apprentice as Lord Sugar's right hand man.
Fans were always particularly fond of his partnership with Margaret Mountford, who was replaced with Karen Brady.
However the pair have reunited with Nick for a series of BBC documentaries, the most recent of which, 'Nick and Margaret: Too Many Immigrants?' aired last month.
He has been presenting Countdown for the past two years.
