David Jason to retain pilot's licence
TV icon SIR DAVID JASON has passed a series of "vigorous" medical tests to retain his pilot's licence.
The Only Fools and Horses star, 74, who mostly flies helicopters, has held his licence since 2005 and has to regularly prove his fitness in order to keep his permit.
Jason admits he recently underwent a battery of medical tests and was delighted when he passed, despite his advancing years.
He tells The Sun, "Touch wood, I'm in good health. Long may it continue. I've just had a vigorous medical as part of my pilot's licence and, hand on heart, I passed everything, which is nice to know. I know some people become infirm in their later years but so far I've been very lucky."
