Haunting images show how world could look if droughts devastated the planet
EVER wondered what some of the world’s most famous natural and manmade landmarks would look like if they were hit by severe drought?
A US-based graphic designer has given what may prove to be a haunting vision of the future as he creates a world of dryness in his illustrations.
Featuring such landmarks as the White House in the US and London’s Tower Bridge to Machu Picchu and Niagra Falls, Joel Krebs from Oregon was inspired to create the work after he entered a competition to remove famous landmarks from their location.
Instead, Mr Krebs decided to remove the water from the landmarks for predictions inspired by the threat of global warming.
The 30-year old said: "Focusing on details - matching colours, lighting, and shadows - can make this a very time consuming process.
"I'm currently working on a few concepts that I hope to have out in the next couple months.
