Meteorologists fear rain clouds could block out the satellite further north, but it is worth venturing out.
Tonight's event is also classed as a ‘supermoon’ - when the Moon is at its closest approach to the Earth, - called a perigee.
So the blue moon will be exceptionally large and bright.
